Iceland southern route
An illustrated map of a route I took along the South Coast of Iceland, along route 1 from Reykjavik to Vik. The idea being that the numbers will represent written articles about each of the pit stops along the way.
waterfalls and glaciers
This section of the route contains two of the most magnificent waterfalls on the island, Seljalandsfoss and Skogofoss. Off the beaten path you can also venture up to Solheimajokull, a glacier you can walk right up to and touch.
This section of the map features the iconic church that stands over the town of Vik, the black beach of Reynisfjara and the sea stacks of Reynisdrangar (known as the troll stones).
A puffin in flight over the small island that's visible from the mainland, Vesmannaeyjar.
